I'm giving this disco a 4 star rating based on what it has the POTENTIAL to be, not based on what it is now. As it is now I can't give it anything higher than 1 star. Why? I'll explain in a second. First, I'll discuss what's good about it -- the place is well decorated and roomy. Lots of LEDs and pretty lights and all that. The main display behind the DJ booth opens up to reveal a room that dancers can perform in. Very nice. The dancers are reasonably attractive (not as good as La Bomba or KK's though) and dance pretty well. The bathroom was clean (although you really need to see how it is after a few months operation). And the wait staff seemed pretty responsive. Now the bad -- the DJ's were terrible. I think possibly the worst DJs I have ever seen. First, they had the music turned up WAY too loud. Loud to the point where everyone had to scream at each other to talk. I even had to fashion some ear plugs out of napkins to avoid having my eardrums burst. Second, they played the worst music ever -- just pounding mind-numbing repetitive beats and noise that make you want to shoot yourself. If you're going to appeal to the local crowd, play some dance versions of popular Chinese songs like KK does. If you're going to appeal to the younger or ex-pat crowds, play some hip-hop or breakbeats like La Bomba does. But no, the DJ instead kept playing just really bad, undanceable music the entire night. In fact, most of the time NO ONE was dancing. And the few times that people danced, it was mostly the people that worked there (meaning they probably HAD to dance because it was their job). Actually, no, I take that back, the DJ himself was happily dancing to his own music; completely unaware that no one else was. To make matters worse, when I went up to ask if they had any hip-hop, he quickly waved me off and said "no". Later, when I went up to ask if he had any breakbeats, he turned away and didn't even bother responding. Now, in my opinion, that's the definition of the worst DJ ever -- not playing music the crowd wants and ignoring people's music requests. The guy dancers were all dressed up hip-hop style (way overdone though) even though no hip-hop music was ever played. The most ironic thing was when the "secret" stage behind the DJ booth opened up. The guy dancers started breakdancing and dancing hip-hop to some random very bad NON-HIP-HOP music. It totally didn't fit. And from my experience, there's only one reason a club would play throbbing bad music very loud continuously and I hope it's not because of that. So, to sum it up -- if they want to save their club from closing down in half a year, they should FIRE THE DJ'S THEY HAVE RIGHT NOW AND GET SOME DECENT ONES QUICK. That would definitely turn their 1-star disco into a 4-star one. Until then, I don't plan on going back anytime soon.

hehe, probably the DJ is a rookie .Looking insightfully ,DJ in china is a new occupation, lacking of some necessary training. The level is very low compared with USA and other developed counties. But it is sure that this club need to improve their management. To satisfy the clientele is the fundamental credendum to operate in entertainment for a merchant
What's a long comment. But it's the most detailed and particular remark i have read. The bar you commented i haven't gone and never will, because i think the DJ is of upmost importance for a bar.through your remark,i feel this bar should kick out the DJ you have criticized.Compared with this one,i think KK and NASA is better in music design, where the Dj is more responding and will take some time to interact with the dancers.
