佳丽海鲜大酒楼（环道路店）

[中文点评在下面] I went with 3 friends to this place including a foreigner who was in Xiamen for a brief vacation so we invited him to come along to try out some Xiamen seafood. We first planned on going to Jiulong Seafood, but then I saw jimmyz’s recommendation about this newly opened seafood restaurant also on Huandaolu because the interior design and scenery is especially good. In the taxi on the way over, the driver confirmed that this place recently has been especially popular. Luckily, I had already booked a private room in the afternoon – one with a seaside view where you can enjoy the sea air.

This place is huge – three very large floors with lots of space between tables. Our private room was on the third floor – and I felt a bit too small and simple. Basically it was just a walled off room with a table and chairs – no sofa, no TV, no coffee table with tea trays like the other fine seafood restaurants on Huandaolu. Nonetheless, the seaside view was fantastic and we could breathe in some good seaair. Take a look at the photos – the food looks great, but the taste is just so-so – actually, a little disappointing compared to the nearby places. We had four people and ate a moderate amount of food for about 430 RMB.

I agree with jimmyz – this is a good place to take your non-Xiamen friends to enjoy the scenery. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for good seafood or a good private room you might want to consider alternatives. For instance, Longchu Seafood is a little further down the road from this place, is much smaller, but has much finer private rooms, each with their own private balcony overlooking the ocean. On the other side of Huandaolu are Liyumen and Jiulong Seafood, both which aren’t as fancy as Haitunwan, but with better seafood in general.

I recommend to reserve early if you want to get a private room on the weekends.

这家非常大 – 三个楼和有很多小包厢. 里面装修了好漂亮也有很多的空间. 我自己觉得我们的包厢有一点太小也没有沙发, 没有电视所以有一点普通,可是海边的风景一定好漂亮. 我们点了很多海鲜: 虾, 鱼, 等. 你可以看我拍的照片 – 煮的好漂亮,但慢慢呼呼的味道. 我们的包厢的服务员真不错 – 帮我们找比较漂亮风景的包厢. 我们四个人没有吃了很多, 埋单了是430元.

我跟jimmyz同意 – 这家你可以带你的外地朋友来,可是我推荐隔壁的海鲜比较好. 隔壁的龙厨海鲜比较小可是包厢比较漂亮,也有包厢的阳台可以看到海. 九龙和鲤鱼门比较便宜, 环境比这里不好可是味道比较好.

我也推荐如果周末要包厢你一定需要早一点定位子.
